The Selected Benefits Success Story
Originally Selected Benefits contracted with Alex to create a mini domination strategy in Texas for their health insurance, health savings accounts, term life insurance, and home owner insurance. These markets are very competitive in Texas with from 3 to 10 million websites each. Domination strategies with new domains, depending on the competitiveness of the keyword phrases, can take some time to work in Google however in Yahoo it is quicker. While the new websites were gaining position their main website www.selectedbenefits.com was gradually losing position on Google until the only keyword phrase they could be found on, in Google, was "individual health insurance Houston".
In June a new website began to be created in Cascading Sheet Style (CSS). Addtionally the website was fully optimized for over 40 different keyword phrases and the html was cleaned up and optimized as well. Also employing other techniques, which of course included an interlinking strategy, to bring the website to its optimum and lastly the site employs flash in such a manner that it is not penalized on search engines; another aspect of SEO he has developed.
The website was launched on July 2nd and an xml site map was submitted to Google. The result was the website showing up in Google on July 17th for the following keyword phrases for page and position on that page. These positions are from not in the first 30 pages of Google to what is listed.
